My sister Elize organized us a Family Going Away party on Sunday afternoon and that was wonderful. We could say goodbye to all the family that would not be able to come to the Airport. We are going to miss everybody terribly. Elize said the most beautiful words to us and it meant so much to us. Thanks again Elize for all everything!

We spent the last weekend with Cornel’s parents in Kleinmond and that was very special. We enjoy just spending some quality time for the last time and we will cherish it forever.
With two days to go before our flights to Melbourne we had to take care of a few things still and we were running around like mad people. But Tuesday night even though we were tired after packing the suit cases we still could not sleep. We needed to leave for the airport at 10:00. Cornel’s parents and my parents drove us all there with all 6 suitcases and 2 car seats. Because we had 160kg baggage allowance we were happy but we still did not want to take any changes. The check-in went smooth we only had 130kg of baggage.
The goodbyes on the airport went better than I thought it would. It was still really sad…. I hate saying goodbye and I had the emptiest feeling in the pit of my stomach walking away from our parents. I knew it was breaking their hearts to see us leave. But I am sure we will see them all soon next year when they come to visit.
